To buy or to sew?
Aaahhhh yes, the eternal dilemma of the home sewist with fashion-conscious in-laws. Whether t'is better to sped the time to hand sew a darling (but not high fashion) dress for one's little niece, or to just buy ready-made at the local Latino Discount Clothing store where CUTE toddler dresses are $3-4 each. On the side of sewing, there is hand tailoring, the "cute" factor, the deep personal satisfaction of seeing my beautiful 2 year old niece wearing something handmade just for her, and supplies are not expensive. But on the side of buying, the local Latina Discount Clothing store has adorable, appropriate, little-girly dresses for less than $5 each, with none of the extra time involved. Decisions decisions heheh
